Retreat Yo’ Self :

Heal, Breathe, Rest & Embrace JOY!

April 24-27 | Starting at $175-$500
What to Expect

The Black Girl Sabbatical retreat offers a uniquely powerful experience created by a Black woman, for Black women and featuring Black women practitioners!

This experience is an intentional pause from the capitalism system we experience everyday as we navigate white supremacy culture. This retreat at Rootsprings is designed to help you slow down, reconnect, and return to yourself—through guided experiences, restorative space, and time to simply be.

All tools and resources are specifically designed and tailored to uplift and support Black women on their journey to well-being.

❋ Intentional Structure

We blend guided moments, open exploration, and space to reflect—so the experience feels both focused and fluid.

❋ Collaborative Energy

Connection is a core part of the process. You’ll learn just as much from the group as from the content itself.

❋ Expert Facilitation

Led by experienced guides who know how to hold space, encourage participation, and keep things moving with purpose.

❋ A Supportive Space

Our events prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so you can show up as you are and fully engage in the process.

Who is this experience for?

This retreat is specifically designed for women in high-stress professions, including entrepreneurs, public policy/advocacy, education, social work, therapists, non-profit, corporate, finance, law enforcement, social justice/DEI, nursing, state/city/county/government, and more!

If you are committed to embracing the 7 types of rest, prioritizing your mental health, holistic well-being, and healing journey, you will feel truly at home and supported here!

  • "You are not born to just center your entire existence on work and labor. You were born to heal, to grow, to be of service to yourself and community, to practice, to experiment, to create, to have space, to dream, and to connect ."

Tricia Hersey, Author of “Rest is Resistance: A Manifesto”

  • “After this workshop I am most likely to pursue coaching so I can get support for my specific sabbatical needs. I do want to take a sabbatical, hopefully in 2025. A coach will help me move through the process better than I can do on my own.“
